Last month I officially screen-printed my first t-shirts (all 4 of them) with my own illustrations. It took blood, sweat and tears to make it happen but it was definitely worth it.
It was my first encounter with screen printing so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had few design ideas in mind but in the end I chose to print my cartoon sun illustrations on some T-shirts. To describe the process in short, first I had to prepare the vector file by resizing it to fit the T-shirts and separating the two colours of the artwork. Afterwards we used a vinyl cutter to transfer each colour layer onto a vinyl stencil which was then transferred onto a mesh (that took me most of the time since my artwork was very detailed and I definitely wouldn't chose to use it again for this technique). Next, and most satisfying step was to apply the paint thought the mesh on the T-shirts (see photo below).
